Every Student Is Different, So Each Lesson Is Too!!
Individual Piano Lessons- $60/month or $52/month family rate
Tuesday Afternoon, Thursday Evening and Friday Morning Lessons
I teach individual piano lessons for all ages, customized to each students pace. You are never too old to learn! I have taught many successful adults, and actually, adults learn a lot faster than children! If it is something you have always wanted to learn, now is a great time!
People always ask me when I think the best age for their children to start taking piano lessons is...I usually say when your child WANTS to learn! It is definitely easier for both myself and the parents to teach a child who is eager to learn.
I think somewhere between 6-8 years old is early enough. I prefer that the student is about 6 years old so their finger muscles and coordination have developed. Before this age, students minds may be sharp enough, but it can be frustrating for everyone when their fingers cannot cooperate!
I do teach a great Group Music Class for preschoolers to prepare them for individual music lessons! It's lots of fun and keeps the attention of the younger children!
My personal teaching style is somewhat casual and encouraging. I believe in helping my students love music and love to play. I often add additional fun songs that my students have an interest in. I absolutely 100% believe in sticker pages and prizes for incentive, as well as off the bench games to learn music theory. I have taught many young new beginners and they love the variety. I also believe in practicing! It is so crucial in learning to play- it's essential really. That is where most of the learning and growing takes place- at home! So I do require my students to practice, just as every other teacher does. :)

Each student will need Piano Books and a small notebook to write lessons in.
